Polarisation Optics
Optics for the control of polarisation are some of the most important elements in an optical system. Polarisers produce a linearly polarised beam from a non-polarised or random input. Waveplates transform the state of polarisation between linear and circular or rotate the plane of polarisation. Bi-refringent materials such as calcite, quartz and mica produce controllable polarisation effects. Alternatively, thin film polarisation is highly effective for some applications. We can supply many types of polarisation optics so please contact us with your inquiry.
Here are some of the main products we offer (click on the links for details and datasheets):
Dichroic Polarisers - polymer film polarisers are excellent for low power applications
Broadband Polarising Cube Beamsplitters - thin film cube beamsplitters with broad band effectiveness
Laser Polarising Beamsplitters - cube beamsplitters with high polarisation for laser wavelengths
Plate Polarisers - thin film polarizers for high power laser applications.
Mica Waveplates - low power retarders with a wide range of retardation values for narrow and broad band applications
Multiple Order Quartz Waveplates - single and dual wavelength 1/4 and 1/2 waveplates
Zero Order Quartz Waveplates - cemented, contacted or air-spaced zero-order 1/4 and 1/2 wave retarders
