Optical Windows

Windows are used when an optical system needs to pass from one atmospheric environment to another.  There can be extreme differences of temperature, pressure, humidity and other parameters on either side of the window.  The optical, mechanical and thermal properties of windows must be considered according to the intended use.

We offer a range of optical quality windows in standard sizes and will be pleased to consider special requirements as well.  Please contact us with details of your requirements.

Here is a list of some of our standard optical windows (click on the links below for details and datasheets).

Glass and Fused Silica Windows - uncoated plane, parallel or wedged windows  - circular, square or elliptical.

Coated Windows - anti-reflection coatings applied to plane windows for high transmission or beam sampling.

Sapphire Windows - highly durable windows with a wide transmission range made from synthetic sapphire.

Brewster Windows - elliptical windows for use in laser cavities to polarize the transmitted output.

Halide Windows - windows of calcium flouride and magnesium flouride for use in the ultra-violet.
